Indoor Air Quality

Our Home Health division: keeping mold, pollen and bacteria from standing a chance in a Cypress home.

Cool and clean are two different jobs

A house near Houston can hit its thermostat setpoint exactly and still feel clammy. That is because temperature and humidity are not the same problem, and a cooling system that is only sized to chase the thermostat number will happily hold 72 degrees at 65 percent relative humidity, which reads as damp rather than comfortable. Our Home Health work treats those as two separate jobs: dehumidification handles the moisture directly, filtration handles what is suspended in the air, and sanitation handles what filtration alone would let through.

What the equipment actually does

Dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, IAQ testing and air balancing sit alongside Aprilaire MERV 11 and MERV 13 media filters on our equipment list, and Phenomenal Aire whole-home air purification ships as part of the Black Diamond Premier tier. In the company's own words, the goal of this division is straightforward: ensuring your home's air is clean and fresh, keeping mold, pollen, and bacteria from standing a chance.

Three things, one visit

Dehumidification
Pulling moisture out of the air directly, rather than asking the cooling system to do a second job it was never sized for.
Filtration
Aprilaire MERV 11 and MERV 13 media filters, sized to the system rather than a one-size shelf filter, catching what a standard filter passes straight through.
Sanitation
Treating the air itself, not just what is trapped in a filter, so mold, pollen and bacteria are addressed at the source rather than after the fact.

IAQ testing, not a guess

Air balancing and IAQ testing are on the same list as filtration

We are QI Certified, BBB accredited, and a member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, and the same office wall carries the Inc. 5000 and Houston Business Journal recognition. IAQ testing and air balancing use that same standard: measure the house first, then fit the equipment to what the measurement actually shows, rather than selling a filter and hoping it solves a humidity problem.

A clammy house is not always a cooling problem

If the thermostat says the right number and the house still feels wrong, that is worth a call before assuming the air conditioner needs replacing.
